Mounted Abrasive Points for Mold and Die Polishing
Adding to Boride’s Blue, Red and Purple Points are the company’s Pink Mounted mold polishing points for use on tool steels or hardened alloys.
Boride Engineered Abrasives has added Pink Mounted Points to the company’s complete line of Blue, Red and Premium Purple Points. These U.S.-made, high-quality mounted points are made of pink aluminum oxide alloyed with chrome for exceptional toughness and durability, making them an ideal option for use on tool steels and hardened alloys where a sharp cutting action is required. Additionally, they are cool cutting and will not load. They are available in 15 industry standard sizes with either a 1/8” or 3mm shank. They are also available in two kits.
“Mounted points can be used in many different applications for material removal, roughing, blending, deburring and finishing,” says Lesley Murphy, Boride’s marketing and sales manager. “By adding Pink Mounted Points to our offering, we are providing our customers with an even larger variety of tools and application solutions to cater to a wider range of abrasive product needs and industries.”
Regarding the company’s other Mounted Point offerings, Red Points are for mild steels, with medium fast-cutting and non-loading, and optimized stability and life. Blue Points are hard, holding shape well while cutting quickly, leaving a smooth finish. Premium Purple Mounted Points can be used on all ferrous and non-ferrous materials and are cooler running.
Boride also features full lines of truing stones, grinders and other polishing accessories.
