Sturdell Strengthens Partnership with Villares Metals
Sturdell introduces a Villares branded material, VF800AT.
Sturdell Industries Inc. strengthens its partnership with Villares Metals of Sumare, Brazil. Sturdell has sourced material from Villares for many years to serve the U.S. market for roll forming and plastic applications and is now introducing a Villares branded material, VF800AT.
The materials is an 8-percent chromium, cold work tool steel characterized by a combination of wear resistance and toughness. Available in rounds, the material expands Sturdell’s offering of materials for cold work applications such as thread rooling, cutting dies and other cold work applications. The VF800 material joins a list of Villares materials including D2, M2 rounds and H13 blocks.
