Evco Plastics Celebrates 60-Year Anniversary
Evco Plastics celebrates 60 years in business, aiming to expand its operations across industries and broaden development opportunities for employees.
Evco Plastics celebrates its 60th anniversary in business. While the company reflects on six decades of business, its sights are set on the future. Evco continues to ramp up its operations and expand capabilities to meet the needs of the industry and its customers.
“Evco has experienced tremendous growth and opportunity over the years — most notably in the last four years. The resiliency and ever-changing nature of the industry and the people I’ve worked alongside have helped make Evco what it is today — and what it’s poised to become,” says Anna Bartz, vice president of communications.
Since its inception in 1964, Evco has expanded from a single 1,200-square-foot facility in DeForest, Wisconsin, to a global manufacturing company with 13 facilities located across the United States, Mexico and China. As Evco physically expanded to meet the needs of customers, so did the industries it is able to serve and the capabilities it has to offer.
Most recently, Evco expanded its Oshkosh campus, with two additions totaling 117,473 square feet. The extra space houses a 4,400-ton press, as well as new auxiliary equipment and warehousing space to meet growing production needs. The company has also added liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding and UV coating as a secondary operation to its suite of capabilities.
At a glance, Evco:
- Operates 270 injection molding machines
- Has presses ranging from 28 to 4,400 tons
- Services over nine distinct industries
- Specializes in over 10 processes and capabilities
- Employs over 2,100 associates
Evco says it is focused on deepening its partnerships with existing customers while investing in the markets of tomorrow to expand the breadth of customers it can serve. Additionally, the company aims to continue to augment professional growth and development opportunities to its employees, which can enhance the expertise and service Evco is able to provide customers.
“Evco was built into the force it is today by the people who have worked here. Not a day goes by where our associates aren’t collaborating across departments and time zones, so we’re looking forward to celebrating not only where we are after 60 years, but the impact we can have on both the industry and the company moving forward,” says Dale Evans, chairman.
