Axiom Group Demonstrates Diversity and Employee Autonomy
Axiom Group is known as an outlier in the automotive industry for the significant number of women it employees—70% of its workforce—across all levels of the organization.
Ontario-based Axiom Group, an engineered solutions provider in the automotive industry, highlights its diverse working environment, a significant number of female employees and unique employee autonomy. Between production and office positions, women comprise approximately 70% of Axiom’s workforce and are present at all levels of the organization, from manufacturing to human resources to engineering, making the company an outlier in the automotive industry.
“Axiom has been a huge supporter of my personal and career growth,” offers Tanya Annett, inventory control specialist at Axiom. “Before joining Axiom, I didn’t have any experience in the automotive industry, but I was quickly given opportunities to expand my training and education. Now, I am a key leader on our inventory and distributions team.”
An emphasis is placed on creating a collaborative environment where employees work as a team to solve problems and are empowered to make decisions. According to Axiom Group, this team environment and employee autonomy strengthens each division and makes employees feel more valued.
“The work culture at Axiom is very collaborative and very diversified. We work as a team,” says Tasneem Ali, human resources generalist for Axiom Group.

“Coming in through the door, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be pushing paper or doing grunt-work. You’re actually going to be doing big things at Axiom,” adds Fatemah Hemraj, human resources manager for Axiom Group. “There was a whole lot of autonomy that I got from the management team to identify my experiences that I could bring to Axiom and take it to the next level.”
Axiom Group wants its new hires to hit the ground running by working on large projects within their first six months. Employees from all levels of the organization work together on creating solutions, from the newest employees to the more senior employees. Axiom Group encourages its employees to reach their highest potential without limits, believing the only limits its employees have been the ones they put on themselves.
