Pickens CTC will be utilizing the company’s advanced technologies to offer education and training to their students. The Pickens CTC has been providing students skill training in many areas including manufacturing machine technology and mechatronics. For 42 years, the institution has supported four high schools in Pickens County. Pickens CTC offers courses for aspiring CNC operators and engineers among some of the many career paths offered.
ProShop USA is donating ProShop ERP software to the student-run Eagle Manufacturing business at Brown County High School in Nashville, IN. ProShop software is a comprehensive web-based, paperless shop management system engineered to benefit small to medium-sized manufacturing companies. The company describes the software as a digital manufacturing ecosystem comprised of integrated modules for managing a shop’s ERP operations as well as manufacturing execution system and quality management systems functions, among others.
Westminster Tool announced that it has made donations to Moosup Elementary School’s Makerspace program and H.H. Ellis Technical High School toward their SkillsUSA program. Made in celebration of Manufacturing Month, the donations, totaling over $5,000, provide continued support for these programs. On Oct. 16, Westminster Tool invited 15 third grade students from Moosup Elementary to visit the shop, highlighting manufacturing careers. The day included a tour of the facility and provided the opportunity for Westminster Tool staff to meet a few of the students who benefit from the Makerspace program. Joined by State Representatives Anne Dauphinais and Brian Lanoue, the event culminated with Westminster Tool presenting a $5,186 donation to Moosup Elementary and Shepard Hill Elementary.
Harry Moser and the Reshoring Initiative team received the MADE IN AMERICA 2019 Reshoring Award during the four-day MADE IN AMERICA 2019 event recently held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The event’s mission is to raise awareness for the economic, environmental and community impact of American-made manufacturers and brands. “I am honored to receive the award and I am delighted to participate in this inaugural event. MADE IN AMERICA 2019 was a great success, especially for a first of its kind event.
