We are all looking for good talent, but what are they looking to get from us? A recent report from LinkedIn Talent Solutions provides a glimpse inside the mind of potential workers when they are looking for a new job. Maybe this data will help you attract and hire good workers.
 
According to LinkedIn Talent Solutions, this is their second annual Talent Trends report and it has been designed to explore how people approach their job search. They surveyed more than 20,000 professionals in 29 countries, including over 1,600 professionals in the United States and Canada, to better understand their attitudes and behaviors when looking for a new job. 
 
Some key findings include: 
 
Top factors candidates consider when job hunting are better compensation package, better work/life balance, better place to work (culture), more advancement opportunities, better professional development/training, better fit for skill set, increased job security, more influential role in company, better location and more challening work.
 
When beginning the job search, they first ask friends and colleagues for company recommendations and referrals. 
 
When being interviewed for a position, candidates want to meet their prospective manager and a team member.
 
What matters to them most during an interview is getting all of their questions answered and having a conversation with leadership.
