I'm Christina Fuges with MoldMaking Technology and I am here today with the CFO of our 2021 Leadtime Leader Colby Coombs of Westminster Tool in Plainville, Connecticut. Hi Colby,
Colby Coombs
How you doing, Christina?
Christina Fuges
Good. So yeah, I have to ask first, how does it feel or what is the impact of this award being live at a show not virtual like it was last year?
Colby Coombs
You know, first of all it's truly an honor. And secondly, having the opportunity for having our peers and our friends in the industry to give us a congratulations, a hug and a handshake right at our booth is fantastic. We've had plenty of people come by to stop by to say hello, learn while we're doing what I learned, why did we win the lead time leader and what is our journey then. So it's really been fantastic to be live, be present and get to hang out with our peers and, you know, share some stories share some insights.
Christina Fuges
That's awesome. So tell me a little bit about since the announcement of you guys winning what is like the sentiment of the team.
Colby Coombs
The team is electric, you know, to be rewarded for something that we truly believe in and had been on a long journey for is an honor and we're appreciative for it and be able to share it with some of our peers here. You know, our team members here everyone is having a great time. You know, we're we're truly honored, truly blessed. And again, to share it with our peers and our team. It's been fantastic. Marketing has been through the roof, we're getting a lot of presence, not just here, but also all over the internet. And you know, being media darlings from being a Leadtime Leader is never a bad thing.
Christina Fuges
I love that, media darling. All right, talk about the show. So with winning the award, you get a booth. So you guys know how to work a booth. But tell me a little bit about the conversations you've been having any connections you've been making, technology and trends you've been hearing about in your conversations.
Colby Coombs
So having a booth has been fantastic, you know, first getting quality leads is always a good thing Christina, and being here and be able to showcase what we do within the industry always has its rewards. We're able to come here, have a booth, talk to everyone and learn about new technology, you know, everything going on with Mantle 3D printing, some of this new technology Progressive and everyone else is coming out with, this is fantastic for us to be here, be present and learn about it and make quality networking connections.
Christina Fuges
Can you tell me a little bit more about the Mantle relationship or partnership?
Colby Coombs
So actually Amerimold is where we met Mantle. So in 2019, at the show, the founder met my father, and the journey started there. So Amerimold made those connections and now we actually announced a partnership with them to start working on some collaboration with 3D printing and incorporating it into the moldmaking industry.
Christina Fuges
It's so great to see the industry embrace even tighter the additive manufacturing technology. So I'm going to keep in touch about that. Lastly, so let's talk a little bit about the award. You have this title for the next year. How do you see using that title? Just to further your brand and let people know more about you? How are you going to do that?
Colby Coombs
You know, we're going to leverage it right being awarded such a prestigious award is truly a great thing that we want to continue to push out. We have been on a long term mission and is continually growing with our employees and now technology. This award is just another milestone in our path in order to continue growing as a company providing fantastic employment opportunities within our community. And again, addressing moldmaking industry as a whole and pushing to improve it the best we can.
Christina Fuges
Congratulations again for winning. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your support
Colby Coombs
Thank you so much, Christina.
