Boride Engineered Abrasives introduces a new formulation to its extensive polishing stone lineup, the AS-9 Plus, an enhanced version of the company’s AS-9 stone.

The AS-9 Plus is engineered to produce the same fast, smooth cutting action customers have come to expect from the AS-9, but with optimized finishing capabilities. According to the company, its premium aluminum oxide grain composition sets the AS-9 Plus apart, producing wider scratches on the mold surface and resulting in a smoother, more brilliant finish. Like the standard AS-9, the Plus is a medium-hard stone with moderate breakdown that can be used on all types of tool steels and EDM scale surfaces.

“Our engineering team has developed a stone that will save polishers time,” Annette Thompson, Boride’s sales and marketing manager, says. “We conducted extensive tests and polishers agree, the AS-9 Plus is a balanced stone with optimal breakdown that will get you to your desired results faster.”

AS-9 Plus is available in 320, 400, 600 and 800 grit and a variety of sizes.
It is also available in standard and premium kits.
