Intelligent Mold Cleaners Support Proper Mold Maintenance
PCS is now distributing the CoolingCare Systems from Fado Group, an end-to-end solution with intelligent tutorial, cleaning and maintenance functions.
PCS Company is partnering with Poland’s Fado Group to distribute the company’s intelligent CoolingCare Systems mold channel cleaning equipment in North America.
CoolingCare Systems are Industry 4.0-compliant cleaning solutions that enable operators to connect a mold to the system and define the cooling channels to be cleaned. Offered in two- and six-channel options, CoolingCare Systems feature intelligent tutorial, cleaning and maintenance functions.
The equipment’s design allows independent cleaning of mold cooling channels regardless of length and diameter. Cleaning media can be tailored to water contaminants that are either high in iron oxide or calcium carbonate; both versions include corrosion inhibitors to keep cooling channels clean longer. Thanks to high-pulsation dynamics, cleaning media are less aggressive and safe for steel, aluminum, copper and bronze.
To optimize processing from beginning to end, CoolingCare Systems feature advanced data archiving to support proper mold maintenance. Intelligent monitoring of the cleaning process confirms when optimal flow-rate values are reached to finish cleaning before the allotted time.
The addition of CoolingCare Systems expands PCS’ broad array of innovative molding solutions. “The inclusion of Fado’s CoolingCare Systems in our already comprehensive equipment lineup gives our customers another next-level molding solution to keep their production processes as efficient as possible,” Derrick Jones, PCS vice president of sales, explains. “CoolingCare Systems epitomize the efficiencies to be gained by smart, connected, data-driven equipment.”
CoolingCare Systems come in two series: the CA and CS. The CA-2 automatically cleans two cooling channels, while the CA-6 cleans six. A 10.1" touch screen lets users quickly see and act on system prompts, enabling a fast learning curve. Available accessory kits include quick couplers, plugs, 20' of red and blue hose and thread sealant tape.
