CNC meets the metaverse at the Hurco booth (338319) with a virtual reality (VR) experience for visitors and drawings each hour Monday through Friday for an Oculus VR Headset (valued at $299).

“As a technology company, Hurco engineers are always exploring emerging trends and technologies to evaluate whether we can leverage them to develop new control features that benefit our customers — either now or in the future. But we also like to have fun! That's why we decided to create a VR Lounge at our IMTS booth where attendees can experience Hurco in a new dimension,” Maggie Smith, marketing director for Hurco Companies Inc., says.

Hurco found a practical application for the VR experience that enables the company to showcase its largest type of CNC machine, the three-meter DCX double column machine. Due to constraints and costs associated with exhibiting these popular machines at IMTS, the VR experience is a way for visitors to see the machine up close — in the Hurco metaverse. The VR experience also includes other entertainment options for IMTS visitors.
