The EDGECAM computer-aided manufacturing solution will be exhibited April 24-25 at the grand opening of the Hartwig - Okuma Houston Tech Center in Houston, Texas.
Featuring 22 industry partners, an extensive machinery exhibition, live machining demonstrations and additive manufacturing seminars, the event will showcase the combined industry expertise of machine-tool manufacturer and solutions provider Okuma and machine-tool distributor Hartwig.
The latest version of EDGECAM responds to an increase in hybrid manufacturing by introducing an additive machining module. Supporting the direct energy deposition method, EDGECAM now offers a dedicated manufacturing cycle that accurately guides a laser as it deposits material to form a shape. The shape is then machined using EDGECAM’s milling cycles to create the final component.
