The National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) website includes conventional models of training for manufacturing careers to meet the needs of manufacturers today. According to Montez King, executive director of NIMS, the training programs evolve to be reflective of what happens in shops and factories.
NIMS provides training in areas of Industry 4.0, data-driven manufacturing as well as foundational programs from basic to advanced skill programs. For example, soon-to-launch are credentialed programs in CAM and MMSR.
The interactive website leads visitors into the areas in which the company provides current products and services. There is also a testing center on the site that can be accessed by trainees and proctors. The platform delivers tools and features to enable users to better facilitate testing procedures at the education institutions and businesses in the company’s system.
