Mark Brown has held positions at Burger & Brown Engineering from vice president through owner and CEO since 1994. Brown is officially retiring from the company, effective June 2023. Brown provided leadership and expansion in the areas of CNC machining, manual machining, automation, engineering and Smartflow products for the last 29 years.
Some of Brown’s accomplishments include building and expanding of the Grandview, Missouri manufacturing facility and navigating the economic downturn of 2008 and 2009. Throughout his career, Brown continuously guided new product introductions, nurturing a global product distribution network for Smartflow products. His business acumen led him to invest in manufacturing technology in an ever-changing environment. At the same time, he provided a healthy work environment and opportunity for growth for team members.
Though Brown is retiring from the business of manufacturing, he will not be slowing down anytime soon. His plan for the future involves support and expansion of the family farm-to-table restaurant and microbrewery in Grandview, Missouri. There, he will continue to pursue his passions of hands-on building and business growth.
Corey Brown, president and CEO, continues to lead the company into the future, focusing on investment in new technologies, team development and defining company culture.
