Cavalier Tool & Manufacturing designs and builds quality molds on time and at a competitive price. Its expertise lies in production parts or tooling in a very short period of time — up to 20-30% faster than competitors, according to the company.

Cavalier builds molds — ranging from injection, structural foam, gas-assist, multi-shot, thermoset, prototype or compression molds — for widely diverse applications, including products for the automotive, commercial, recreational, medical, heavy truck and agricultural industries. With a worldwide customer base, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, the company strives to develop strategic alliances with customers and suppliers alike.

Established in 1975, Cavalier has over 220 employees in Canada, the U.S., Latin America and India. Cavalier has also established additional design and engineering capabilities, known as Cavalier Tool Design India (CTI) with two offices in Chennai and one in Lucknow, India. Its 66,000-square-foot headquartered facility, plus a new shop acquisition, builds tools for 250- to 4,000-ton presses, producing 200 molds per year. A mid- to large-sized mold manufacturer, the company says it can handle any project of any size.

Cavalier’s latest technology is an expandable automated component cell with three five-axis Hermle machining centers serviced by a multi-axis KUKA robot. The company says the integral 200-pallet library will enable continuous unattended manufacturing of a variety of components from 1-500 pounds in size. Built-in AI will allow the cell to reprioritize production based on any changes to the schedule.

Cavalier stands behind a saying coined by President Brian Bendig: “Know what needs to be done. Do it right the first time. Do it better tomorrow. People. Process. Equipment: The Cavalier Way.”
