The compact and portable Descaling Pump from Denmark-based Mouldpro ApS and distributed in North America by Globeius Inc. keeps heating and cooling circuits on molds and molding machines clear of rust and limescale deposits.

Blocked or severely corroded circuits can have a significant impact on machine efficiency. Even a thin layer of scale or corrosion can act as an insulator that slows production. Mouldpro’s Descaling Pump, when used regularly with the company’s specially formulated descaling solution, is said to ensure clear circuits.

To use, fill the pump with descaling fluid, connect the pump to the inlet and outlet of the circuit and turn on the pump. According to Graeme Sands, Globeius general manager, regular reversal of flow direction, either manual or automatic, speeds up the operation and assists in dislodging any solid matter present in pipework and cooling circuits.

The Mouldpro Descaler Pump’s built-in tank is said to offer convenience while also keeping descaling solution safely contained and virtually maintenance free. For example, the tank is translucent, so the user can monitor the cleaning process. Mouldpro’s descaling fluid also contains a color-change indicator — when its red color turns clear, it is no longer effective. A neutralizing powder will render the used cleaning solution pH free, enabling safe and easy disposal.

Globeius has descaler units and solution, offered in both liquid and powder form, in stock and ready for delivery throughout North America from the company’s warehouse in Miami, Florida.
