Slide Products Partners with One Tree Planted Nonprofit in Efforts to Minimize Carbon Footprint

For every online order placed, Slide says it will donate $1 for one tree to be planted.

In an ongoing resolve to support the environment and give back to the global community, Slide Products, a company that formulates mold releases, mold cleaners, rust preventives, purging compounds, ejector pin grease, ancillary products and accessories for the plastics industry, has announced a continuing, enhanced partnership with One Tree Planted. For every online order placed, Slide will donate $1 for one tree to be planted in a global reforestation effort. The customer will also have an option to match the donation if desired.

“Slide continues an ongoing effort to minimize our carbon footprint. We strive to research and implement initiatives that are environmentally conscientious and to use our R&D to meet or exceed EPA standards in all facets of our production, stocking, waste handling, shipping and warehousing,” says Michael Muth, president and sales manager, Slide Products. “A partnership with a great organization like One Tree Planted is just another small step we can take to make a difference in the fight against deforestation and global climate change.”

One Tree Planted is a 501(C)3 nonprofit group based in Vermont dedicated to helping the environment by planting trees, thereby restoring forests, creating habitat for biodiversity and making a positive global impact overall. They plant one tree for every dollar donated. Since 2014, the organization has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year works with partners across 43 countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. More than 30 million trees have been planted to date. Some of their current partnerships include AstraZenecaBBC EarthColdplay – Music of the SpheresNikin ClothingOriginsVISAWorld Resources Institute; and the United States Forest Service (USFS).

The Million Tree Challenge restoration project will be contributing to iconic forests in conjunction with the USFS. By supporting this effort, members will be conserving wildlife, combating climate change, restoring wildfire sites and benefiting local communities.
