With a growing demand for molds, dies and tooling, and local companies with increasing capacity and technology to produce them, this sector in Mexico has a promising future and offers a window of opportunity for those metalworking workshops that seek to take more advantage of their installed capacity and target new markets.

According to Tool Cluster, the market value of molds, dies and tools in Mexico exceeds USD 9 billion, of which more than $7.2 billion goes to other countries. The largest imports are concentrated, in their order, in plastic injection molds and aluminum injection molds.

It is in this context that Meximold, an event that will bring together mold, tool and die producers and global suppliers of solutions for their design, manufacturing and maintenance, presents itself as an ideal and one-of-a-kind scenario by offering the entire necessary technical and update information on mold manufacturing, introducing the latest technologies for manufacturing and leveraging, and providing a space to make new business and business contacts.

Meximold will be held from November 20 to 21 at the Congress Center of Querétaro and is organized by Gardner Business Media and the Asociación Mexicana de Fabricación de Moldes y Matrices – AMMMT (Mexican Association of Manufacture of Molds and Dies) with an innovative format that includes a complete academic agenda, a commercial exhibition with more than a hundred of global exhibitors, and a B2B business meeting for those engaged in the manufacture of plastic injection molds in Mexico.

In its academic component, the program covers three key themes: additive manufacturing, mold manufacturing and injection molding. In three simultaneous rooms, international experts will share their knowledge and provide cutting-edge information on new processes and technologies, and best practices.

To date, the commercial exhibition is made up of 100 suppliers of molds for injection and plastics processing, mold components, hot runner systems, additive manufacturing equipment, software and all equipment related to the manufacture of molds. Companies such as HRSflow, Maguire Products, Novatec, StackTeck, Milacron, KraussMaffei and Progressive Components, among others, have already reserved a space on the exhibition floor.

The B2B business meeting will involve 60 buyers from the automotive and aerospace sector who will serve more than 3,000 potential suppliers during the two days of the event; however, opportunities to create new trade links are not limited to these meetings. Owners, executives, engineers and managers of OEMs and manufacturers of outsourcing molds who will attend Meximold will have various relationship opportunities including some activities planned by the organization of the event in the trade show area.

Pre-registration is free and can be done up to one day before the event in www.meximold.com
