Step by Step Process to Guide Your Approach to Programming 3D Parts
This four-hour workshop is designed to teach you the latest sound techniques on effectively machining three-dimensional parts. It will tie together the cutting tools, software and machining technology and techniques necessary to reduce cycle times, lead times and costs. Two industry leaders in high-speed machining and hard milling will break down seven steps for programming 3D parts, how to machine deep cavity and cores without chatter and vibration, and three techniques for rib machining that beat traditional methods. Attendees will be shown what is possible when you marry feeds and speeds with tools and programming techniques, which they can take back and use on their own equipment. The workshop will end with a 10 micron challenge for machining accurate cavity and cores while compensating for tool deflection.   Attendees will have access to test parts for up close examination as well as proven process demonstration videos.

Making Maintenance Profitable
To be more profitable in any business, companies need to better understand where their real costs are. Maintenance is no different. Hundreds of thousands of dollars a year unknowingly slip through the cracks due to poor data collection and usage, as well as a lack of proper bench skills. Using hands-on exercises and in-depth discussion, this two-part workshop will show attendees how their companies stack up against others in the U.S. concerning unscheduled mold repair work. Also presented will be challenges encountered when working on commonly used hot runner systems and how to improve bench skills using proven tips and techniques. Who should attend this workshop? Toolroom managers, tooling-minded plant managers and senior repair technicians or those responsible for overseeing training and productivity within their plant.
Steve Johnson - Operations Manager, Tooling Docs
