The Spirit of the Association
The spirit of the American Mold Builders Association is Community and Communication ... much like that of MoldMaking Technology magazine.
The spirit of the American Mold Builders Association is Community and Communication ... much like that of MoldMaking Technology magazine. And with that, their annual national convention began. Sherry, Claude and I headed to Grand Rapids, MI, yesterday and Executive Director Troy Nix truly kicked it off to an inspiring start. Even before the official start of the sessions this morning, attendees were already gathering in the exhibit area to get that communication and community-building started. Presentations today included Scott Paul of the Alliance for American Manufacturing, who talked to the crowd about THIS being the right time to connect, communicate and build community. U.S. manufacturing has not had a rebound like this since the 1980s. Next Laurie Harbour of Harbour Results presented the results of the AMBA Benchmarking Survey, and the day ended with facilitated roundtables on workforce development, operational excellence and sales & marketing--a lot sharing. So stay tuned for more details and feedback.
