Power Up

The AMBA's annual convention has been an event I look forward to every year since we launched MoldMaking Technology. It has allowed me to make so many critical connections, gain valuable insight, discover industry hot topics and pain points, and establish relationships, even friendships, within this community. And this year's event is shaping up to provide the same.

The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) is dedicated exclusively to the U.S. mold manufacturing industry for more than 35 years. Member companies serve original equipment manufacturers in every industry including automotive, medical, electronics/electrical, toys, recreation and sporting goods, building and construction, lawn and garden, consumer, and industrial. Members also that provide services and/or materials directly related to the mold building industry.

This May 14-16 at the Pfister® Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisc. they will be hosting their 2014 “Power Your Connections” Annual Conference. where mold building professionals will gather from across the country to share best practices and learn ways to improve the profitability of their mold building operations.

According to the AMBA, this year’s event is packed with valuable content in a new concise format, providing greater take-away with less time away from work for the attendees.  “From the conference kick-off, to the Welcome Reception and Supplier Trade Fair on Wednesday evening, to noon on Friday when the conference adjourns, attendees will discover new ways to connect with customers, suppliers and their own internal team members, while exploring what best-in-class mold building executives are doing to drive their operations forward,” explains Kym Conis, AMBA managing director.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Troy Hazard., an internationally known author, TV host and speaker who will draw upon his 20 years of “real life stories as a global entrepreneur” to deliver the audience valuable insights to take back to their businesses.

Additionally, Laurie Harbour fromHarbour Results, will present strategic components from the 2013 Automotive Tooling Study and Michael Bohning, Creative Blow Mold Tooling, will unveil key operational and financial data from the AMBA’s current Benchmarking survey, now in progress.
