This community is steeped in talent, skills, knowledge, achievements, passion and a willingness to share, so it’s no surprise you are the foundation of the MoldMaking Technology brand. When we launched the magazine in 1998, we reached out to you for help and insight, and we still do today. As I’ve said many times before — MMT was created by the industry for the industry.
Our formal way of working with readers is our Editorial Advisory Board (EAB), comprising authorities with expertise in their respective business, industry, technology and profession. The board represents all aspects of the mold manufacturing industry — moldmakers, molders, OEMs, consultants and academia.
The board’s primary function is to advise on timely issues, trends and advances in the field, offer editorial thought and direction, review and comment on specific articles and generally act as a sounding board and a conscience for the publication. The term of each member is three years, so it’s time for us to bring on new board members.
We believe this intimate involvement from industry leaders assures you that MMT covers the hot topics that are the most important to you.
Since MMT’s inception, each member has provided new ideas and perspectives on the industry and assisted with the direction of content in various ways. We believe this intimate involvement from industry leaders ensures that MMT covers the hot topics that are the most important to you. We also believe the EAB enhances the brand’s standing and strengthens its professional and industrial integrity.
The publication’s editorial staff selects an EAB member based on their experience and knowledge of the moldmaking industry. The total number of EAB members does not exceed 12 and represents a balance of job titles, functions and industry segments.
We meet once a year at Amerimold and hold quarterly virtual meetings for editorial planning, guest speakers, feedback, brainstorming and general sharing. Benefits of board membership include networking, recognition and promotion. More specifically:
- Industry recognition by assisting in the strategic editorial direction of the publication.
- Name and affiliation listed within each issue of the publication.
- Name and affiliation noted on the website.
- Preferred opportunities to contribute editorially to the magazine.
- Complimentary, complete conference registration at brand events.
- Discounted booth at Amerimold Expo.
But most of all, becoming an EAB member allows you a way to share! So, are you ready to share, or can you recommend someone qualified? If so, email me at cfuges@gardnerweb.com to get the process started.
What better year to get involved … 2023 is MMT’s 25th anniversary!
