Nearly 300 leading women manufacturing executives, managers and supervisors from across the country will gather in Detroit, MI, on October 22-23, 2013 for the third annual Women in Manufacturing Summit, which is hosted by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA).
This event, called SUMMIT 2013, provides women who work in manufacturing fields the opportunity to network with their peers. The conference will feature industry plant tours, a networking dinner, roundtable and panel discussions, educational sessions and keynote presentations on pertinent business topics.
According to Women in Manufacturing program director, Allison Grealis, this event will will build off the “huge successes” of the 2011 and 2012 events. “The hundreds of women who have attended the past two summits walked away newly motivated from sharing their experiences and building stronger networks,” she notes. “We’re hoping to create local momentum leading up to this year’s program by kicking off the year with our first ever Launch Party next month.”
The Launch Party will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 5:30 p.m. at The Henry Autograph Collection Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan (also the location of SUMMIT 2013). The Launch Party presents an opportunity for women in the industry to enjoy cocktails and appetizers while networking with peers. Attendees can also learn more about SUMMIT 2013.
