Redefining the Next Generation of ERP
The American Mold Builders Association returns to Amerimold with one of its plant tour workshops, set to give attendees an inside look at a precision mold base supplier’s homegrown job scheduling and tracking system.
One of the most valuable offerings from the American Mold Builders Association is its plant tour workshop. These well-organized workshops provide attendees with an up-close and personal tour of peer mold shops’ operational and technology strategies while hosting an open and honest dialogue in a structured setting. The exchanges and lessons learned have always been eye-opening for me, and even triggered future feature articles. This year the AMBA returns to Amerimold and offers a tour of Craftsman Tool & Mold Co. on June 11, 2019.
Craftsman Tool has a custom-designed software system that is maximizing efficiencies in all areas of the company’s mold base manufacturing operation, redefining the next generation of ERP. Attendees will discover how the implementation of automated systems and a fine-tuned tracking strategy can achieve production improvement and increased profitability. Quoting and scheduling directly interface with the company's 'CRP' system and track all areas of the shop, including non-conformance issues, maintenance scheduling, quality control and more.
Other highlights will include the latest technology implementation, including a new surface grinder that can hold very close tolerances, new vertical bridge CNC machines and advancements in large horizontal pallet changing and tool changing.
Tour registration includes transportation from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (site of Amerimold 2019), afternoon networking reception at TopGolf and attendee pass to Amerimold 2019.
*Please note: local time is in CST. Local event time will be 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. CST. Bus will load at 12:45 p.m. CST.
